In a collaborative partnership between UK India Business Council (UKIBC) and West Bengal Industrial Development Corporation (WBIDC), the chief body of West Bengal’s commerce and enterprise department, a memorandum of understanding has been signed to accelerate industrial development and create a business environment in the state.
UKIBC managing director, Kevin McCole said in a virtual conference, “many UK businesses want to enter and expand their investment in West Bengal after seeing the dynamic bureaucratic leadership.”
Governments and industry are looking the ways and means to shape and strengthen economies, supply chains and socio-economic development in the face of COVID-19, UKIBC will continue to support interactions between UK businesses and the State Government to provide direct feedback from business on the ease of doing business, market access and other relevant issues which can further bolster business confidence and enhance the operating environment for businesses in West Bengal, said a statement.
