Ved Van: India’s first Vedic theme Park in Noida offers a glimpse of historic civilization amidst high tenementsÂ
With more than 50,000 plants and sculptures of Indian sages,a unique theme park based on the vedas boasts of disseminating cultural education along with an immersive experience of marvelling at the Vedic age.
Home to more than 50,000 plants and sculptures of antiquity spread across the site, the space marks the ancient text and is a mix of Indian culture, natural beauty and history. The trees mentioned in vedic literature include banyan, neem, kalpavriksha and coconut are planted deliberately.
Located in Noida Sector 78, the site was earlier a dumpyard but now it has been redesigned after the investment of INR 27 crore for the benefit of nearby residential communities in Sectors 74 to 79. However, anyone else who wants to experience the space can easily visit.
According to Neelima Rana, architect of the park, the idea was to make people go back to our scriptures and learn about them through entertainment while marvelling at the wonders and immersive experience of Indian culture.
To make the land construction-friendly, soil compression was carried out. Additionally, trees were planted after the soil was disturbed.
As the park is themed around the Vedas, it has verses from the four texts — Rig Veda, Atharva Veda, Yajur Veda and Sama Veda. Holy scriptures have been displayed inside Ved Van. The space is divided into seven zones, all named after famous sages. These are Kashyap, Bharadwaj, Gautam, Atri, Vasishtha, Vishvamitra and Agastya.
Besides the creative sculptures of Indian rishis & sages that are installed in the park, ample information is displayed about Indian rishis and the walls are adorned with scenes from the Vedas.
The park conducts a Vedic-themed laser show for guests for education and recreational purposes. Adding to the overall experience is an amphitheatre powered by solar lights as well as an outdoor gym providing eco-friendly amenities.
