Beruru’s Lavelle Road Store: An Urban Oasis of Garden Elegance

Near Cubbon Park, Beruru’s new store blends sophisticated design with natural beauty, creating a serene garden retreat. Designed by Story Studio, Reading Grounds, and architect Amritha Madhavan, it showcases Beruru’s dedication to integrating greenery into daily life.

The designers aimed to create a space that is both airy and inviting, drawing inspiration from a glasshouse. Their design focuses on three core elements: abundant natural light, a seamless connection to the outdoors, and well-defined yet complementary areas that encourage exploration and discovery.

Beruru’s store, designed with a sleek, angular layout, features six glasshouses that maximize natural light and offer lush views. Open walkways guide visitors through global plants and decor, while a striking Oorjaa light installation made from lantana, fiber, and paper highlights the nature-inspired design. Lantana panels enhance navigation and complement the earthy color scheme.

Beyond the final glasshouse lies a peaceful courtyard with a majestic peepal tree, inviting visitors to linger among outdoor planters and sculptures. Completed in 75 days, the store uses glass, granite, and metal for light and comfort, and incorporates sustainable features like native plants, preserved trees, and rainwater harvesting.

Beruru’s new Bengaluru store offers a unique shopping experience that seamlessly integrates indoor and outdoor environments. It not only reinforces the brand’s identity but also inspires visitors to imagine the possibilities of home gardens and outdoor spaces.
