German shoe making brand shifts production base from China to Agra.
Striking a partnership with latric industries pvt ltd, Von Wellx, a German shoe making company earlier based in China has operationalised two manufacturing units in Agra. Few months back the company made an announcement to shift its entire production of three millions pairs of shoes from China to India.
Manufacturing units are being set up in the Export Promotion Industrial Park, which are likely to employ around 2000 opportunities with the production of approximately 2.5 million pairs across different segments.The collaboration will lend momentum to CM’s vision of turning the crisis into opportunities as New India aspire to become a global manufacturing hub.
New factories are also expected to be set up near Jewar and Kosi Kotwan cluster in Mathura.

This would generate about 10,000 jobs while the units would produce up to 5 million pairs of shoes.”
Demographic Dividend of Uttar Pradesh can be realised to its full extent with the acquisition of advanced skills from foreign industrialist facilitated by the local authorities.
