About the Workshop
Gond art has close proximity with flora and fauna as Central India’s forest-dwelling Gond tribe have been intertwined with the wild.
The beauty of art lies in the intricate patterns created in each form that graces the artist’s canvas.
Many gond art works display at pavilion of UN climate change conference or COP25 and other such conference on environments in the interest of spreading awareness about the impact of climate change on wildlife.
Materials Required
- Drawing papers and rough sketch papers.
- Round Brush 0 -1 and 6,7 number long hair.
- Pencil, eraser, sharpener palate, clothes or tissue, water bowls.
- Primary Color means red, yellow, orange, blue, green, yellow, black.
- Black pilot pen.
- 0.7 0.5 or 0.5 number marker.
Chhoti Tekam
Having strong passion towards painting, Chhoti Tekam belongs to Gond tribes of Madhya Pradesh and explores Gond art after she puts her son to bed. Gond art originated in Madhya Pradesh and was practiced by the largest adivasi community. This diverse artform beautifully takes inspiration from nature, mythology, folk tales and opens up a new world to us
