Spotlight on what MSME and Export sector gain as an incentive to accelerate the recovery in upcoming financial year.
The grant of Rs 15,700 crores for MSME has been proposed which is double of what it was last year. Finance Ministry is likely to eliminate 80 outdated exemptions in custom duty on imports, withdrawal of the exemptions on import duty on certain domestically made items like garments, leather, handicraft and finished products of gemstones is likely to reinforce to the exporters.
Thrust will be on easy access of raw materials and export of value added products to put the domestic manufacturers on global supply chain.
