In a bid to connect local artisans to global buyers, Indian Chamber of Commerce (ICC) has announced the launch of an online “Web Store” to showcase the products such as handloom, Khadi, Jute and other textiles.

The three day long global exhibition is scheduled to start on December 14, 2020, the purpose is to extend the reach of MSMEs from Local to Global (L2G) in the wake of the government’s Atmanirbhar Bharat campaign.

The event will organise a virtual buyer and seller meets supported by Indian Missions in America, Europe and MIddle East. The initiative has been taken to mobilise and encourage the local manufacturers to expand their network globally. A dedicated website has been launched to kickstart the business to business trade.

According to Rajeev Singh, Director general, ICC, ” The initiative is taken to provide a platform to Indian sellers where they can exhibit their products at a very low price, start a fresh dialogue with their international importers to tap into the international markets and to run the wheels one more time in this pandemic.”
