Strengthening trade links with Japan can benefit India’s manufacturing and infrastructure industry

The consultations on economic ties between India and Japan related to technology sharing, infrastructure and manufacturing throw an opportunity for domestic manufacturing industry and export.

According to a report on foreign trade and commerce, jointly drafted by Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas and FICCI, India has always been seen as preferred trading partner by Japan and pandemic has demystified the opportunities for both the nations to collaborate and work mutually in the global market. It is a fact that India has a vast demographic dividend which can be realized in fulfilling its vision to become a crucial manufacturing hub globally.

Report lays emphasis on the policy reforms and simplification of tax structure to further enhance the relations as Japanese industrialists and investors are optimistic about returns on investment in India.
