Grab a front row seat as Lakme Fashion week & FDCI present timeless textile heritage

Starting from March 16 to 21, the upcoming virtual and on-ground joint fashion week, organised by Lakme Fashion Week (LFW) and Fashion Design Council of India (FDCI) will showcase the eternal Indian heritage.

“Timeless of the world”, the collection of renowned fashion designer Anamika Khanna, who is credited with undertakings to dress many celebrities will open the event, being organised in collaboration with LFW and FDCI.

According to the designer, “the collection is a homage to a certainty that every creation is bound to perish one day and what is left behind is legacy so the thing that matters most is what you do with it.”

Hosting a myriad of delicate assortments, the  virtual showcases have been created using state of the art technology during an extensively designed and meticulously curated on-ground shoot in Delhi led by FDCI and in Mumbai led by Rise Worldwide. The physical event will follow the strict safety measures.

Apart from Khanna the other famous designers like Suneet Varma, Shantanu and Nikhil, Samant Chauhan, Payal Pratap, Pankaj & Nidhi, Geisha Designs, Nitin Bal Chauhan and Bloni, will be presenting their collections.
 

In consequence of the pandemic, which has severely impacted the fashion industry,   the firstever digital edition of Lakme Fashion Week was organised in October last year to enable the business of fashion, create new experiences for audiences and put the spotlight back on the future of fashion., LFW plans to support designers and artisans through a Virtual Showroom, connecting buyers and consumers and creating demand for the industry’s growth.
