UP govt alloted plots for toy, handicraft and apparel manufacturers in the vicinity of proposed Jewar airport
Giving momentum to centre’s vision of making India a manufacturing hub and encouraging the MSMEs for domestic production, Uttar Pradesh govt has allotted plots to a bevy of toy, handicraft and apparel manufacturers in the proximity of proposed Jewar International Airport. The plan is expected to draw the investments up to Rs 30000.
Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) had invited the applications from manufacturers to set up the units in the allocated area,state government shortlisted around 2290 applications out of total applicants to offer them the plots in various sizes. Around 108 plots have been allotted to leading domestic toy manufacturers like FunZoo, Ankit Toys, Toy Treasurers and Funride which had applied for the plots and 63 were allotted to start-ups as of now.
The plan is likely to generate thousands of jos upon successful materialisation of resources. As per the estimations of YEIDA, once operationalised, the toy manufacturing hob alone is likely to create 25,000 jobs.
