Recently opened serpentine jewellery store in Kala Ghoda goes beyond ornamentation

The rippling Bhavya Ramesh’s jewellery store in Kala Ghoda, Bombay stands as a testament to individuality of design, craftsmanship and irrepressible power of self-expression.

Jewellery brands these days are rewriting the design language by not just designing ornaments with quirky, bold and bohemian style but their stores also seem to invite the attention of design enthusiasts.

With the launch of Bhavya Ramesh’s new store which is but a celebration of artistry, creativity, and a vision to redefine jewellery as a space for self-expression, the brand manifests a mesmerising fusion of Indian cultural motifs, contemporary design, and a profound philosophy that goes beyond mere ornamentation.

The serpent is a recurring motif in Indian culture, embodying varying connotations. Regardless of the interpretation, it cannot be denied that the serpent is a symbol of power, creative life force, and connection to divine power.

The store with stunning interiors display a range of accessories from earrings to sunglasses, necklaces,  nail rings, each item in the store bears the distinctive touch of the owner’s passion and artistic vision. With sculptures inspired by Indian mythology acting as mannequins to showcase the jewellery.

The emporium is not just any other jewellery shop in town, it is inspired by the multifarious nature of the serpent in Indian culture, which reflects the dualities of power, force, and strength that the symbol represents.

Bhavya Ramesh’s inspiration drew deeply from the Banjara culture, infusing her creations with profound beliefs and personal philosophies. To her, jewellery is a symbolic language — a means to communicate one’s innermost thoughts and beliefs.

The conceptual store is one of a kind, the meticulous construction of the store was a labour of love, with each element carefully curated to reflect the brand’s core values.
