Chennai Architect creates 3D-printed miniature model of Chepauk Stadium for ‘Captain Cool’
Having a four-inch TV installed for playing a short video of some of his memorable moments from his life, the miniature model is a marvel in the fantasy space design world.
With a number of manufacturers producing mini-modern homes and furnishings to create fantasy spaces which would be impractical in real life, Architect Sivakumr. R, 35 has gifted a charming 3D-printed model of Chennai’s Chepauk Stadium Chennai Super Kings’ ‘thala’ MS Dhoni.

According to Sivakumar, he wanted this gift to be a life-long memory for him because he is the King of Chepauk, who has entertained CSK fans over the years. The model will soon be dispacted to his house in Ranchi.
Sharing that “Thala was very intrigued by our effort”, Sivakumar, an ardent CSK fan himself, said, “He confessed that he has never received such a gift in his lifetime. He also praised the nuances of the model.”
About the intricacies of the delicate model, as per Sivakumar it contains all the details of Chepauk Stadium, including miniature flood lights. “We have dedicated one of the stands in the model to our Thala and named it the MS Dhoni stand,” he mentioned.
The seats in shades of the military colour palette as a tribute to Dhoni’s Lieutenant Colonel rank in the Indian Army, which he triumphantly sports.
The model was conceptualised and sponsored by one of Sivakuma’s clients and friend Japtej Ahluwalia, then it is designed to give life by adding the additional details by Sivakumar.
